My first experience of Vietnam was four and a half years ago. In March 2008, upon touchdown at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, I immediately fell in love with the city formerly known as Saigon. And what's not to love about Ho Chi Minh City? The chaos, the traffic, the food, the people. I felt so comfortable in this city full of nine million strangers, and I couldn't wait to go back!
Vietnam was the second leg on my recent vacation, and it couldn't come soon enough. Kuala Lumpur was an experience, but the city just didn't grab me the way other Asian metropolises have done. Like the trip of time's past, this vacation was taking in Saigon yet again, along with the coastal resort Mui Ne, on the East of the country.
